Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position provides direct supervision and leadership to maintenance technicians and ensures reliable operation of production equipment, utilities, facility systems, and related infrastructure.\nThe Supervisor is a hands-on leader who can balance immediate production needs with long-term equipment reliability, employee development, safety, and continuous improvement. This position is responsible for directly supervising other employees.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDirectly supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians.\nProvide leadership and technical direction across day and night shift operations.\nAssign and prioritize daily maintenance work based on safety, production requirements, equipment condition, and business priorities.\nCoordinate maintenance coverage to support all shifts.\nConduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching, and performance discussions with maintenance staff.\nFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.\nEnsure effective communication between shifts through structured shift handoffs.\nOversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.\nRespond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate troubleshooting and repairs.\nProvide hands-on technical support when necessary for complex mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, or other equipment issues.\nAnalyze recurring equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.\nCoordinate planned maintenance activities and equipment shutdowns with Production.\nEnsure maintenance work orders are completed accurately and timely.\nMonitor maintenance backlog and prioritize work based on operational risk and production impact.\nEnsure scheduled PM work is completed according to established schedules.\nDevelop and maintain equipment-specific maintenance procedures and troubleshooting documentation.\nPromote consistent maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices across all locations.\nPartner closely with Production leadership to minimize equipment downtime and maintain production schedules.\nCommunicate equipment status, outstanding repairs, downtime, and maintenance priorities.\nSupport equipment startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and line modifications.\nAssist with commissioning and troubleshooting of new equipment.\nSupport GMP, food safety, sanitation, and hygienic maintenance requirements.\nEnsure maintenance activities comply with applicable OSHA requirements and company standards.\nMonitor critical maintenance spare parts and communicate inventory requirements.\nCoordinate outside contractors and service providers as assigned.\nRecommend equipment modifications, upgrades, or replacement when appropriate.\nSupport cost-effective purchasing and utilization of maintenance materials.\nLead by example in all communications and actions. Uphold company values and consistently model best practices for decision-making, time management, and workplace conduct.\nMaintain positive working relationships with all internal departments and external partners.\nDemonstrate a high level of professionalism in all interactions, maintaining respect, integrity, and a positive attitude while fostering a collaborative work environment.\nMay be required to perform other duties as assigned and reasonably related to this role.\n_______________________________________________________________\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience in lieu of education is required.\nTechnical degree, trade certification, or formal industrial maintenance training, preferred.\nAt least 3-5 years of working experience in production/manufacturing environment is required.\nExperience in beverage, food, bottling, packaging, or other food manufacturing, preferred.\nAt least 3 years of experience leading/supervising\nExperience with VFDs, motors, sensors, instrumentation, conveyors, pumps, compressors, fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, or similar equipment, preferred.\nExperience with plant utilities such as refrigeration, compressed air, boilers, water systems, or wastewater systems, preferred.\nCOMPETENCIES\nStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.\nStrong leadership skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.\nAbility to prioritize competing maintenance requirements.\nWillingness and ability to work across multiple plant locations as required.\nAbility to work independently and as a part of a team.\nComfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback.\nAbility to prioritize, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to change.\nAbility to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.\nMath Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in different units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited information or standardization exists.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nIntermediate computer skills, including ability to navigate files, send and receive email, write routine reports, perform word processing and spreadsheet tasks.
