Description Summary\nThe Business Development Representative 2 role is responsible for collaborating with the Business Development and Estimating teams to assist in the successful planning and facilitation of a project from sale to kick off as well as interface with internal and external customers throughout the life cycle of a project.\n\nJob Description:\nReview project proposals to determine Baer’s project scope and responsibilities.\nSecure projects while recognizing commitment to quality workmanship, positive industry image and customer satisfaction.\nExecute the estimating plan/strategy which includes providing accurate estimates of labor, materials, and administrative costs for assigned projects.\nInterface with Designers, Project Managers, and others to resolve issues throughout the project.\nDetermine the customer’s needs and interpret their definition of a successful project.\nPrepare, process, and maintain all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and quotations necessary to perform the responsibilities of the contract. \nParticipate and/or facilitate project planning and follow up meetings throughout the project life cycle.\nParticipate & present in committee and department meetings.\nDevelop relationships with vendors\nFacilitate the estimating kickoff meetings.\nVerify the estimator check list has been completed.\nParticipate in pre-bid bid and final bid reviews with the Estimating team.\nAttend on and off-site customer/client meetings and events.\nDevelop and maintain customer relationships to secure future business by attending on and off-site meetings and events.\nCollaborate with Marketing, Business Development and Estimating teams to prepare project proposals.\nMaintain and develop new customer relationships to secure future business in the commercial and industrial markets.\nParticipate in the interview process and responds to customer questions.\nQualifications and Education Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nAssociates degree in electrical construction, construction management, electrical engineering, or similar discipline preferred.\n5+ years of experience working in the electrical construction industry.\n3+ years of experience working as a Salesperson and/or Project Manager in the electrical construction industry.\nKnowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, sales tactics, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and the coordination of manpower and resources.\nStrong computerized estimating skills using Enterprise or similar software. \nProficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe/Bluebeam.\nExperience with conceptual estimating, low voltage systems estimating, design/build estimating.\nAbility to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish the goals.\nEffective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nEffective problem solving and time management skills.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize to manage workload and meet deadlines.\nKey Skills and Competencies:\nAble to work cooperatively
