The position owner will manage the end-to-end BIM-to-Field process, including Trimble equipment inventory, training programs, Drone Deploy implementation, and field support across Hunt Electric projects locally and nationally.\n\nJob Description:\nRole and Responsibilities:\nTrimble Training & Field Support (25%)\nConduct on-site Trimble training for local and national Hunt Electric projects during project startup phases\nProvide multi-day field support to ensure proper Trimble setup, calibration, and team confidence in layout processes\nTrain field electricians and apprentices on Trimble Field Link tablet usage, increasing technical capability of field workforce\nOperate Robotic Total Stations (RTS), GPS units, 3D laser scanners for underground, wall rough-ins, ceiling hangers, and equipment pad layouts\nSchedule and monitor ongoing Trimble success through regular check-ins and follow-ups to ensure layout accuracy and proper execution\nBIM-to-Field Integration & Model Management (25%)\nAnalyze construction drawings and BIM models to create stakeout points within Trimble Business Center\nStreamline information flow between design teams and field foremen, ensuring BIM models are actionable on-site\nGenerate precise point data to support Hunt's prefabrication efforts, ensuring conduit and hangers fit perfectly upon arrival\nIdentify and report potential clashes between model and field conditions using Trimble 3D scanning for proactive solutions\nUtilize Trimble Field Link to ensure 100% accuracy in BIM-to-Field layout, reducing field errors and rework\nEquipment & Inventory Management (20%)\nOrganize and track all Trimble equipment inventory as it is deployed to and returned from project sites\nAssess equipment needs, identify items requiring replacement, and procure new equipment to maintain readiness\nEnsure all Trimble equipment has proper calibrations, software licensing (Field Link, RealWorks, Business Center), and firmware updates\nManage check-in/check-out processes for Trimble equipment in shop, including RTS units, GPS systems, tablets, and 3D scanners\nMaintain equipment service records and coordinate repairs to minimize project downtime\nAs-Built Process Management (15%)\nDevelop and implement as-built management plans for projects requiring as-built documentation\nEstablish standardized naming structures and workflow processes from VDC to field for streamlined as-built delivery\nUtilize Trimble 3D scanning and RealWorks software for capturing accurate as-built conditions\nCoordinate with project teams to ensure as-built data collection occurs at appropriate construction phases\nProcess and deliver finalized as-built documentation to clients and project archives\nDrone Deploy & Emerging Technologies (15%)\nSetup and create projects within Drone Deploy for aerial site documentation and progress tracking\nAdvocate for and educate Project Managers locally and nationally on the benefits and ROI of Drone Deploy\nTravel to project sites as needed to establish Drone Deploy workflows and provide hands-on training\nResearch, evaluate, and recommend emerging field technologies that enhance productivity and accuracy\nPilot new technology implementations and measure productivity gains before broader deployment\nQualifications and Education Requirements:\nRequired\n5+ years of hands-on Trimble experience (Robotic Total Stations, Field Link, Business Center, GPS)\n3+ years of electrical field experience (IBEW or similar commercial/industrial electrical construction environment)\nDemonstrated proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, and other VDC software tools\nExcellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with client-facing and training experience\nAbility to prioritize competing demands and adapt to changing project needs\nWillingness to travel to project sites locally and nationally (up to 40%)\nValid driver's license and ability to transport equipment as needed\nPreferred\nExperience with Trimble X7, X9 3D laser scanner and RealWorks registration processing software\nFamiliarity with Drone Deploy or similar drone/aerial imaging platforms\nUnderstanding of construction scheduling principles (CPM scheduling, lookaheads, pull planning)\nExperience training, mentoring, or formal teaching in technical subject matter\nDemonstrated leadership in team settings, formal or informal\nProblem-solving mindset with track record
