All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.\nWho The Client Is: An Australian landscape construction company that designs and builds creative, high-end outdoor play spaces.\nRole Overview: We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function, with weekly payroll at its heart. You’ll keep our books accurate, our people paid correctly and on time, and our compliance obligations met.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPayroll & Timesheets\nProcess weekly payroll accurately and on time for our site and office teams.\nReview and process timesheets from ClockShark, our geolocation clock-in/clock-out system.\nInterpret and apply Modern Awards, working alongside our People & Culture advisor.\nManage leave, superannuation and paid parental leave, including government payments.\nRespond promptly and clearly to team members’ pay questions.\nCompliance & Reporting\nPrepare and lodge BAS and IAS, and manage PAYG withholding.\nManage payroll tax and WorkCover obligations.\nKeep all compliance reporting accurate, up to date and aligned with Australian requirements.\nAccounts Payable & Receivable\nProcess supplier bills and expenses so everything is paid on time.\nIssue client invoices promptly and accurately.\nFollow up overdue accounts and manage debtors professionally.\nReconciliation & Cash Flow\nComplete regular bank and account reconciliations in Xero.\nPrepare and maintain cash flow projections to support planning.\nBuild and update reports in Excel for the CFO and directors.\nFinancial Administration\nMaintain organised, well-documented financial records.\nComplete data entry with a high level of accuracy.\nSupport the CFO and Finance Officer with ad hoc finance tasks.\nRequirements\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\n5+ years of bookkeeping experience with Australian businesses.\nAdvanced Xero skills across payroll, reconciliations, AP and AR.\nStrong knowledge of Australian payroll, Modern Awards, superannuation and tax compliance.\nConfident Excel skills for reporting and cash flow work.\nExcellent attention to detail and accurate data entry.\nClear, professional written and spoken English.\nA self-directed approach, with the ability to manage your workload independently.\nBonus Points:\nExperience in construction, trades or landscaping.\nExperience with ClockShark or another geolocation-based timesheet system.\nFamiliarity with HappyHR or another HRIS that integrates with Xero.\nA quick learner
