Known for their personalised approach and supportive team culture, they prioritise strong client relationships and quality service.\nRole Overview: Join a growing bookkeeping team managing a portfolio of Australian small business clients. You’ll maintain accurate financial records, process payroll on time, and communicate directly with clients to keep their accounts running smoothly. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and build a long-term career with a supportive Australian firm.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProcess transactions and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts accurately.\nCode transactions correctly for Australian GST, including GST-free items.\nProcess weekly payroll accurately and meet deadlines, including Monday payroll before 2:00 PM AEST.\nPrepare BAS and IAS workpapers for review by the accounting team.\nManage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier bills, invoices, and debtor follow-ups.\nCommunicate with clients to request information and clarify bookkeeping requirements.\nPrepare month-end and quarter-end reports and maintain organised client records.\nDocument processes and client notes to support team collaboration.\nTrack time accurately against client jobs for billing purposes.\nRequirements\nMust have at least 2-3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.\nA solid grasp of Australian GST, including how to research and confirm whether an item is GST or GST-free.\nExperience processing weekly payroll and meeting strict deadlines;
