The team is known for its practical, hands-on approach, attention to detail and commitment to delivering reliable outcomes across a range of projects, including government-related works. As the business continues to grow, it is expanding its estimating capability to support its ongoing project demands.\nRole Overview: As our Estimator, you will own the estimating process from drawings to tender. You will complete quantity takeoffs, build clear Bills of Quantities, and run the tender process with subcontractors and suppliers. You will work closely with our Australian team, who review and finalize each estimate with you.\nKey Responsibilities:\nRead and interpret architectural, structural and steel drawings and specifications\nComplete accurate quantity take-offs, with a strong focus on structural steel\nBuild clear, well-structured Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in Excel\nPrepare and issue tender packages to subcontractors and suppliers from our approved list\nTrack tender responses, follow up on pricing and compare quotes side by side\nPrepare complete estimates for review and sign-off by the Australian team\nKeep estimating files, templates and records organised and up to date\nSupport admin and process improvement tasks during quieter periods\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nDegree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar\n3+ years of construction estimating or quantity surveying experience\nProven experience completing takeoffs\nConfident reading construction drawings and specifications\nAdvanced Excel skills for building BOQs and pricing schedules\nExcellent written and spoken English, with clear and timely communication\n\nNice to Have\nExperience estimating for Australian construction projects\nExposure to crane, rigging or heavy-lift projects\nExperience with takeoff software such as Buildsoft, Bluebeam or
