Hunt Electric is 100% employee owned and connected by our core values providing the perfect blend of big-company stability, resources, and opportunities, with the tight-knit team culture, creative spirit, and customer loyalty of a local business.\n\nJob Description:\nROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nRepair, install, and adjust automatic swinging and sliding commercial doors.\nDetail-oriented to accurately complete necessary paperwork, including work orders, quality assurance check sheets, and walking the customer through the services rendered on each job.\nPresent neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.\nMaintain good customer relations and customer service.\nBasic power tools will be provided.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMust have at least 2 years’ experience in the commercial door industry.\nMust have working experience with automatic doors, storefront doors, and electrified hardware.\nAAADM certification or able to obtain within 3 months.\nMust be knowledgeable in electrical wiring and understand the theory of integrating into card access systems.\nMust be able to read blueprints or schematics.\nMust be able to use power and hand tools safely and effectively.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach above head with hands and arms, lift, push, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, pull, talk and hear.\nThe employee must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.\nThis position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with a pay range of $38.21-$47.73 per hour, as negotiated under the terms of the agreement. All pay rates, benefits, and employment terms are determined and administered by the union.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nEmployees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl. \nThis position requires the ability, and bend or stand as necessary. \nThis position requires the ability to move and/or lift objects regularly up to 50 pounds. \n EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Graduate\n3-5 years minimum in the Security and Access Control systems field\nPower Limited License (PLT) required\nWork as an apprentice LV technician 40 hours per week.\nValid driver’s license required.\nAbility to pass the Electrician’s Trade Aptitude Test.\nAttend class one day per week through Joint Apprenticeship Training Program (free).\nWages are based on the union scale and increase based on the number of hours worked.\n\nIndividual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
