It is our focus on quality and growth that makes us an employer of choice and helps us maintain our culture of excellence.\nPosition Overview\nThe Category Procurement Manager - Wood & Shutters is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for wood, shutters, and related finished goods categories across Hunter Douglas businesses. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive cost savings, supplier performance, supply continuity, and operational excellence while supporting business growth objectives. Success in this position directly contributes to annual productivity targets, strategic procurement initiatives, and overall business performance.\nWhat you'll do\nDevelop and execute global category strategies for wood, shutters, and related finished goods to support business objectives and long-term growth.\nServe as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing procurement expertise, market intelligence, and strategic sourcing recommendations.\nLead end-to-end sourcing events, including requirements gathering, market analysis, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding.\nDeliver year-over-year cost savings, payment term improvements, and other value-added contributions that positively impact business results.\nAnalyze spend data and procurement metrics to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve sourcing effectiveness.\nBuild and manage strategic supplier relationships, including conducting supplier business reviews and driving continuous improvement initiatives.\nEstablish and monitor supplier performance metrics, service levels, compliance standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).\nCollaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Engineering, PMO, and R&D teams to support manufacturing and business requirements.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nWho you are\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 5-7 years of progressive sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.\nExperience managing direct material categories within a manufacturing environment.\nStrong contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing experience.\nExperience working with wood, plastics, finished goods, manufacturing, or engineering-related categories preferred.\nWorking knowledge of SAP, ERP, and MRP systems within a manufacturing environment.\nStrong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, work effectively in cross-functional teams, and travel up to 25%.\nWhat's in it for you\nAnnual base salary range: Competitive and commensurate with experience\nBonus target range: Based on company and individual performance\nGenerous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage\nA company culture that prioritizes internal development and professional growth\nTime off with pay\nRetirement savings plan with employer contribution opportunities\nPaid parental leave\nWellness programs and Hunter Douglas product discounts\nPlease note, all offers presented to candidates are carefully crafted to ensure market competitiveness, equity, and reflect the individual candidate's education, experience, skills, and potential.\nHunter Douglas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with applicable employment laws.
