Working alongside the Project Manager and CG-26 staff, you will assess and optimize the Coast Guard's Intelligence Community cloud environments, recommend improvements, and guide them through implementation.\nWhat You Will Do\nAssess CG-26 cloud architecture and workloads for opportunities to improve performance, cost, resilience, and security\nDesign and document target-state architectures in IC cloud environments, including AWS C2S and AWS GovCloud (US)\nLead workload migration, modernization, and right-sizing efforts from planning through execution\nAlign cloud solutions with IC and DoD security requirements, including ICD 503, NIST SP 800-53, and RMF\nPartner with ISSOs and engineers on security controls, monitoring, and architecture documentation\nSupport cloud cost management, including usage analysis and spend reporting\nPrepare optimization roadmaps, briefings, and technical recommendations for government stakeholders\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's or Master's degree (BS, MA, or MS)\n6+ years of experience providing cloud technology support to Intelligence Community or government agencies\nHands-on experience architecting and supporting IC cloud environments\nExperience with AWS cost and optimization tools such as Cost Explorer, Budgets, Compute Optimizer, and Trusted Advisor\nInfrastructure as code experience using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation\nScripting in Python, plus Bash or PowerShell\nExperience supporting RHEL and Windows Server environments hardened to DISA STIGs\nCurrent cloud certification relevant to AWS GovCloud (US) or AWS C2S, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)\nActive Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI\nAbility to work onsite at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC on a hybrid schedule\nNice to Have\nDoD 8140 qualifying certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP\nContainer experience with Amazon EKS or ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker\nCI/CD pipeline experience with GitLab or Jenkins\nLogging and monitoring with Splunk or Elastic\nExperience with VMware or other on-premises virtualization in hybrid environments\nPrior experience supporting the U.S. Coast Guard\nThis posting is for a current vacancy and the employer intends to fill this position by November 23, 2026.\nHunter Strategy is an equal opportunity employer.
