We continue to support our partners' success by leveraging the right technology, with the right plan, and the right team to address tomorrow's challenges today.\nSalary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 Annually\nHunter Strategy is hiring a System Administrator to support the U.S. Coast Guard's intelligence systems under CG-26. You will keep mission systems patched, secure and running, and you will help the Coast Guard meet Coast Guard Cyber Command (CGCYBER) requirements. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes solving hard technical problems and wants to grow in a mission-focused environment.\nWhat You Will Do\n· Apply and track patches, updates and security configurations across intelligence systems in line with CGCYBER directives and deadlines\n· Resolve Tier 2 and Tier 3 tickets escalated from the service desk, and find the root cause of recurring issues\n· Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, network connectivity and application issues on workstations, servers and peripherals\n· Apply security baselines and STIG settings, and fix findings from vulnerability scans\n· Manage user accounts, group policies and access permissions in Active Directory\n· Support audits, system hardening and cybersecurity compliance reporting\n· Keep system documentation current, including configurations, procedures, knowledge base articles and asset records\n· Work with ISSOs, network engineers and government leads on changes and incidents\n· Follow change management and security procedures for classified systems\nWhat You Bring\n· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field\n· 2-3 years of Tier 2-3 help desk or system support experience\n· Hands-on experience with patching and security configuration in Windows environments\n· Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to fixing problems\n· Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical users\n· U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret (TS) clearance, with eligibility for SCI\n· Ability to work a hybrid schedule with onsite days at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC\nNice to Have\n· Experience supporting USCG, DHS, DoD or Intelligence Community systems\n· Familiarity with AWS environments\n· Linux administration experience\n· ITIL Foundation certification\nRequired Certifications: DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE\nThis posting is for a current vacancy and the employer intends to fill this position by November 23, 2026.\nHunter Strategy is an equal opportunity employer.
