This position also works closely with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to customize application solutions and tools to help improve the value of the z Systems platform and environment.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nProvides 24X7 on-call in team rotation after trained.\nWork independently, as well as work collaboratively, and contribute to an agile team environment.\nLearn how to maintain “State of the Art’ knowledge of best practices in systems administration, high availability, metrics, and business continuity. \nCandidate must be self-motivated and assertive while possessing the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment.\nDemonstrate problem resolution ability to resolve systems application problems while working with other Mainframe Engineers, coordinates with programming application users to determine symptoms and ensure accurate problem resolution.\nLearn plans and implementation strategies and procedures for physical disaster/recovery and contingency planning.\nUnderstand fundamental concepts of z/OS core, network & storage, CICS for z/OS, Db2 for z/OS, MQ for z/OS along with mainframe related tools such as BMC Mainview, IBM -CICS Interdependency Analyzer, IBM -CICS Performance analyzer, SMPE, ISPF, SMS, SMF, JES, JCL.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent\n6 months of related experience that involves working with technology\nPreferred Qualifications:\nA strong desire for a long-term career in IT\nAbility to complete and retain self-directed virtual training on z/OS fundamentals and system administration\nPassion for continuous learning\nAbility to work in a professional environment\nProvides 24X7 on-call in team rotation once trained\nPersonal experience and interest in working with technology\nPleasant, curious personality, open to problem solving while building relationships\nAbility to multi-task and work under pressure with deadlines\nDrive and eagerness to learn\nStrong problem solving, critical thinking, organization, and communication skills\nExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively interface and partner with all levels of the organization\nPrevious IT course work or experience\nKnowledge of banking industry business processes\n Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)\nNoWorkplace Type:\nOfficeOur Approach to Office Workplace Type\nCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
