This individual will be responsible for VMWare cloud foundation and virtual desktop infrastructure as well as automation engineering for virtualization platforms.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDevelops strategic direction for present and future IT services\nParticipates in strategic planning with IT senior management and with business leaders\nPlans and manages complex and strategic enterprise-wide projects. \nResponsible for ensuring that availability SLAs are met, failed customer interactions (FCIs) are minimized, and technology currency is maintained for supported systems\nOversees the planning, scheduling, assignment and monitoring of staff and resources for assigned areas of responsibility\nDevelops and maintains processes to ensure ongoing support for responsible systems\nMaintains fiscal accountability and is responsible for financial budgets\nMaintains a high level of technical expertise related to assigned departmental functions and stays current in technical enhancements, methodologies and trends that particularly apply to Huntington\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of experience in IT infrastructure\n10+ years of related experience in client and server infrastructure\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrated technical competence and ability to stay current with changing industry trends\nDemonstrated use of standards, policies, and best practices within the server and desktop virtualization\nStrong vendor management including vendor negotiation skills\nExperience with deployment and system build automation\nAbility to initiate new efforts through requirements gathering and drive the team to completion\nAbility and drive to implement continuous process improvements\nStrong Project Management experience\nResults driven, ensuring short-term goals are achieved while supporting long-term initiatives with an appropriate sense of urgency\nStrong technology skills with the ability to produce relevant information from teams and make critical decisions\nManagement and leadership skills to attract, retain, and motivate high talent professionals\nExcellent ability to motivate and influence a cross functional team to perform above normal expectations\nExcellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills\nExperience in the financial industry desirable.\nExperience with the IT PMO and other technical and application teams on the estimation, budgeting, accounting and other requirements related to project delivery\nProven methodical approach to problem identification, problem solving and resolution using analytics and diagnostics in a timely manner\nStrong technology skills with the ability to produce relevant information from teams and make critical decisions\nGreat Aptitude for technology and demonstrated independent knowledge\n Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)\nYesWorkplace Type:\nOfficeOur Approach to Office Workplace Type\nCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
