This position will report to the Direct Procurement Team Lead.\nJob Scope\nThe Buyer Procurement Operations is responsible for executing purchase-to-pay activities, maintaining purchasing data, coordinating with suppliers and stakeholders, supporting operational procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement standards. This role serves as a key liaison between purchasing, manufacturing sites, suppliers, and internal stakeholders while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.\nIn summary, as the Buyer Procurement Operations, you will:\nExecute the purchase-to-pay process by ensuring order accuracy, placing purchase orders, and processing invoice disputes in a compliant manner for multiple purchasing areas.\n\nEnsure alignment, support, and follow-up of logistic and operational activities in line with demand and company targets, including the order confirmation process.\n\nManage and maintain purchasing data including pricing and order profiles, supplier data, and orders placed according to strategic sourcing expectations.\n\nCollaborate with commercial purchasing teams and key stakeholders by serving as the daily operational contact between purchasing and manufacturing sites or administrative departments.\n\nIdentify process improvement opportunities to drive automation, streamline processes, and create efficiencies aligned with procurement strategy and business objectives.\n\nProvide status updates to internal stakeholders regarding purchased goods and services within company information management standards.\n\nEnsure compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to environmental, health, safety, and security standards.\n\nQualifications\nYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.\nThe candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.\nAll candidates are expected to work at our office in AFZ, Heredia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please note that there may be occasions where additional office days are required, due specific business needs.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience/educational requirements may be waived for internal candidates.\n\n1+ years of direct experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or a related business function.\n\nUnderstanding of the purchasing process.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\n\nB2+ English proficiency required.\n\nSkills and knowledge\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\n\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.\n\nContinuous improvement mindset and ability to identify process optimization opportunities.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in a shared services or global business services environment.\n\nExperience with SAP, SAP 1 or other ERP systems.\n\nKnowledge of procurement best practices and strategic sourcing processes.\n\nExperience supporting manufacturing or supply chain operations.\n\nWorking Environment\nOffice-based position
