This is a key site leadership position with responsibility for EHS strategy, management systems, compliance and continuous improvement, alongside contributing to EHS initiatives across Huntsman’s UK network.\nAs a member of the Duxford Senior Leadership Team, you will work across the entire organisation, from colleagues on the shop floor to senior leadership, and engage directly with regulatory bodies including the HSE and Environment Agency.\nWe are looking for someone who brings together strong technical EHS expertise, confident leadership and a genuinely hands-on approach. Apply today!\nRole Responsibilities:\nAs a EHS Manager, you will be responsible for:\nActing as a member of the Duxford Senior Leadership Team and representing the site on EHS matters with regulatory bodies, emergency services and other third parties. \nManaging the site's EHS Management System and driving the implementation of EHS strategy, improvement programmes and best practices. \nEnsuring compliance with applicable EHS legislation, Huntsman standards and the site's Upper Tier COMAH requirements. \nSupporting Process Safety activities, including HAZOPs, risk assessments, PHRs and incident investigations. \nLeading site inspections and audit programmes and ensuring EHS standards are maintained across operations. \nEnsuring accidents, incidents and near misses are appropriately reported and investigated, identifying trends and supporting corrective actions. \nPromoting safe behaviours and supporting the continued development of a positive EHS culture and Huntsman’s Zero Harm programme. \nTaking accountability for environmental matters relating to the site and the effluent treatment plant. \nSupporting emergency preparedness, fire protection, occupational hygiene monitoring and the site's EHS training plan. \nManaging and developing the EHS Specialist. \nWorking with other Huntsman EHS professionals across the UK to share learnings, align ways of working and deliver improvements. \nRemaining close to day-to-day operations and being willing to get involved in the detail when the site or team needs support. \nExperience and Competencies:\nWhat we are looking for:\nUniversity degree in a related discipline and NEBOSH qualification at Diploma level. \nKnowledge of EHS legislation and its application within a manufacturing environment. \nExperience working with the Environment Agency, HSE or other regulatory authorities. \nExperience or formal training in Process Safety. \nKnowledge of EHS management systems, including ISO 14001. \nExperience with Root Cause Investigation and relevant investigation techniques. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach. \nConfidence engaging with people across different levels, from operational teams to senior leadership and external regulators. \nA practical, hands-on mindset and willingness to get involved in operational detail when needed. \nThe ability to manage changing priorities, ambiguity and competing demands while remaining self-motivated and organised. \nStrong focus on data and metrics. \nWhat We Offer \nAt Huntsman, we want our employees to feel supported both professionally and personally.
