The intern will work under supervision and receive guidance to develop an understanding of payroll processes and controls.\nKey Responsibilities\nCollect, organize, and update supporting information for payroll processes, following the team’s instructions.\nAssist with preparing Excel files and templates, including data entry, filters, formulas, and basic pivot tables.\nAssist with collecting records of hours worked, absences, and other payroll inputs, without approving changes or payroll calculations.\nOrganize and file documents and control evidence, following internal confidentiality and access procedures.\nUpdate simple reports and tracking logs for activities, outstanding items, and deadlines.\nAssist with logging and tracking basic inquiries, routing cases to the appropriate team member.\nParticipate in training and suggest simple improvements to information organization and administrative tasks.\nScope and Supervision: The intern will not be responsible for approving payroll, authorizing payments, interpreting labor or tax regulations, or independently resolving complex cases. Discrepancies and inquiries beyond the role’s scope must be escalated to the responsible team.\nQualifications\nYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. \nThe candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica. \nAll candidates are expected to work at our office in AFZ, Heredia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
