The team is focused on expanding the product portfolio and delivering high-impact, customer-centric solutions aligned with evolving market demands.\nThis role specifically focuses on managing and developing the product portfolio within the Insulation market segment in Polyurethanes. The Platform Manager will drive innovation through the identification and implementation of differentiated solutions, support technology transfers from global platforms, lead localization efforts, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. The role requires close collaboration with global and regional teams to bring innovations to market and sustain a competitive edge.\nThis position will be based in Pune, India.\nAs a Platform Manager - Insulation you will:\nCore Functions\nEnsure full compliance with company safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards across all areas of responsibility, including labs, production facilities, and customer locations.\nMaintain in-depth technical knowledge of Insulation PU products and processing technologies.\nMonitor global and local product portfolios, including competitor offerings, to identify opportunities and ensure market relevance.\nLead technology transfer and localization efforts for the Insulation product line in coordination with global teams.\nContinuously benchmark and optimize the product portfolio to ensure cost competitiveness.\nEnsure full adherence to regulatory and quality standards in product development and commercialization.\nCollaborate closely with global Platform Managers to align local activities with overall global strategy.\nMarket & Implementation Focus\nWork closely with local cross-functional teams including R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to implement platform strategies effectively.\nEngage directly with key customers to support the introduction and scaling of new technologies.\nFoster close collaboration with the Technical Service (TS) team to ensure fast, effective deployment of innovations and enhanced customer satisfaction.\nServe as the subject matter expert for the Insulation platform in the Indian market.\nAnalyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning.\nProvide technical and strategic support for business development initiatives.\nRepresent the company at relevant industry conferences, customer meetings, and technical events.\nDeliver regular reports and presentations to senior leadership on platform performance, innovation pipeline, and market feedback.\nTravel domestically and internationally as required to support projects and customer engagement.\nWhat skills and experiences are we looking for?\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.\n8-10 years of experience in the Polyurethanes industry, preferably with a strong background in PU Insulation.\nProven track record in product/platform management, innovation, and global technology transfer.\nExperience working in a global matrix organization is highly desirable.\nAbility to collaborate across functions and influence without direct authority.\nStrategic mindset paired with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.\nFluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.\nDeep understanding of polyurethane chemistry, formulation, processing, and application development.\nKnowledge of relevant regulatory and quality assurance standards.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong project management and organizational abilities.\nWhat can we offer?\nHuntsman offers unsurpassed opportunities to build a successful future.
