With Duxford’s innovation portfolio growing and new products planned for introduction at the site, this is an opportunity to play an important role in turning innovation into scalable, commercial manufacturing.\nYou will lead Process Development activities from lab to pilot scale through to full commercial production, take responsibility for the lab and pilot plant and develop a technically capable team of engineers and chemists. Apply today!\nRole Responsibilities:\nAs a Process Development Manager, you will be responsible for:\nLeading and developing the Process Development team at Duxford, building an engaged, accountable and high-performing team. \nLeading the industrialisation and scale-up of new products and formulations, transforming R&T developments into safe, efficient and robust manufacturing processes. \nOwning the Process Development lifecycle from lab scale to pilot-plant activities through to commercial production. \nLeading the pilot plant, supporting both innovative new products and commercial manufacturing activities. \nDriving successful technology transfers from R&T into manufacturing and supporting product transfers between Huntsman manufacturing sites. \nTackling challenging technical issues and providing Process Development expertise to Operations when solving production, quality and performance problems. \nDriving continuous improvement across process capability, product quality, capacity, reliability, waste reduction, cost optimisation and operational efficiency. \nConducting feasibility studies, process risk assessments and techno-economic evaluations to support business and investment decisions. \nManaging Process Development priorities, resources, budget and departmental KPIs. \nEnsuring Process Development activities comply with EHS, Process Safety Management, Quality and regulatory requirements. \nBuilding strong partnerships across R&T, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial, Regulatory and other manufacturing sites. \nRepresenting Process Development within the Duxford Site Leadership Team and contributing to the site’s long-term business strategy. \nExperience and Competencies:\nWhat we are looking for:\nUniversity degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. \nAt least 5 years of professional experience in Development and/or Manufacturing, with strong practical Process Development and scale-up knowledge. \nExperience taking products or processes through scale-up from development towards industrial manufacturing. \nExperience leading technical or scientific professionals and the capability to coach, motivate and develop others. \nStrong technical understanding of process development, manufacturing processes and process scale-up. \nStrong understanding of the fundamentals of thermoset chemistries. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to lead complex technical projects from development through implementation. \nConfidence in making decisions and balancing competing priorities in a complex operational environment. \nStrong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across site, regional and global teams. \nA genuine passion for continuous improvement, innovation and operational excellence. \nStrong focus on EHS, Quality and compliance. \nWhat We Offer:\nAt Huntsman, we want our employees to feel supported both professionally and personally.
