You will manage a varied workload across assessments, procedure reviews and project activities, organizing your priorities to deliver against business deadlines.\nIf you are passionate about process safety, enjoy solving technical problems and want to contribute to significant site investment projects, we would love to hear from you.\nRole Responsibilities:\nAs a Process Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nManaging and supporting a range of process safety activities across the Duxford site. \nContributing to a sustainable process safety culture, supporting the EHS and PSM teams in line with the divisional Zero Harm journey. \nSupporting the maintenance of Process Safety Standards, Procedures and Guidelines. \nUndertaking risk assessments and hazard studies, including studies associated with new equipment being introduced to the site. \nParticipating in root cause analysis as part of incident investigations. \nContributing to the commissioning of engineering projects. \nCollaborating with the Process Safety Centre of Excellence to develop and implement best practices and solutions. \nManaging your workload across procedures, assessments and project activities to meet business deadlines. \nThe position reports to the Process Safety and Engineering Manager and has no direct reports. \nExperience and Competencies:\nWhat we are looking for:\nGraduate Engineer qualifications. A Master's degree or PhD would be considered an advantage. \nAt least two years of relevant process safety experience. \nPrevious experience working in process safety or in a role encompassing process safety. \nFamiliarity with Process Safety Management systems, including their implementation and improvement. \nPractical experience with risk assessments and hazard studies. \nFamiliarity with management of change and risk identification and reduction techniques. \nFamiliarity with failure mechanisms, protection systems and their design. \nEngineering design and optimisation experience across a range of unit operations. \nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet. \nGood teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. \nAdaptability and the ability to organize your own workload. \nA strong belief and conviction in Process Safety and EHS. \nWhat We Offer:\nAt Huntsman, we want our employees to feel supported both professionally and personally.
