Working alongside experienced Technical Consultants, Project Managers, and other Huron teams, you will develop the technical skills needed to help prepare client environments, execute upgrade activities, troubleshoot issues, and support successful go-lives.You’ll be part of the Software Services team for Higher Education & Research with opportunities to collaborate, learn, and grow while impacting some of the most prestigious higher education and research institutions in the US and Canada.\nYour day-to-day responsibilities may include:\nSupporting technical activities throughout the SaaS upgrade lifecycle, from preparation and planning through upgrade execution, testing, go-live, and stabilization\nAssisting with environment preparation, configuration, validation, and other technical tasks required for client upgrades\nResearching and analyzing technical issues, using available information and resources to troubleshoot, identify potential root causes, and help determine appropriate next steps\nResearching, analyzing, troubleshooting, and helping resolve technical issues identified during upgrade activities\nCollaborating with SaaS Project Managers, Technical Consultants, Engineering, Support, and other teams to coordinate upgrade activities and resolve issues\nCommunicating technical status, risks, issues, and dependencies clearly to project team members\nFollowing established upgrade processes, technical procedures, checklists, and quality standards\nMaintaining accurate project documentation and capturing technical findings and resolutions\nContributing to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and helping develop tools, documentation, job aids, and process improvements\nBuilding knowledge of Huron’s Research Suite software, SaaS environments, upgrade processes, and supporting technologies\nParticipating in upgrade activities that may occur outside standard business hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed\nRequired:\nU.S. work authorization is required\nBachelor’s Degree in a computer science related field or equivalent work experience\nExperience reading and writing object-oriented code, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON & Java\nExperience with Microsoft software, including Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, Visual Studio\nStrong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, evaluate information, and develop potential solutions\nAbility to work independently and in remote team environments\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to communicate technical tasks and concepts to nontechnical internal and external stakeholders\nAbility to context switch and juggle multiple competing priorities\nThis position is remote, infrequent travel required\nAbility to consistently work West Coast business hours (8am-5pm or 9am-6pm PT)\nPreferred:\n1-3 years of experience working in a customer or internal software support position\nExperience supporting enterprise class, multi-tier web applications\nAnalyze and interpret various types of logs, such as IIS, SMTP, Event Logs, and custom output\nFamiliarity with SQL and C#\nFamiliarity with source control concepts\nThe estimated base salary range for this job is $65,000 - $90,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $70,200 - $100,800. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
