Day-to-day tasks include designing and maintaining ETL processes for data transformation, managing data pipelines and databases, and creating data visualizations and dashboards. Additionally, you will implement statistical and machine learning algorithms, staying abreast of tech trends, and mentoring junior team members. If you are comfortable with relational databases, proficient in Python, R, or equivalent languages, and have a solid grasp of web frameworks, this role offers the opportunity to drive innovation in healthcare analytics and contribute to the enhancement of patient outcomes.\nResponsibilities:\nAs a Senior Lead Software Engineer at Huron, you will lead the development of healthcare analytics products. Your role involves designing efficient ETL processes, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring seamless technology integration within a small, focused team comprised of PHDs, Engineers, Product Managers and Consultants.\nCollaborating closely with this cross functional team, you will drive innovation and explore advancements to stay at the forefront of technology offerings. Your strategic contributions extend to optimizing development workflows and guiding decisions to enhance overall efficiency both in the team and at client organizations.\nMeasuring the impact of analytics products, you will utilize appropriate tools to showcase value in patient outcomes and client organizational objectives. In summary, your role is instrumental in the strategic development, optimization, and impactful decision-making within the realm of healthcare analytics at Huron.\nRequired:\nU.S. work authorization is required.\nB.S. degree with a focus in in computer science, information systems, engineering and/or equivalent work experience.\n5 + years of relevant software development experience and/or along with leading a project or team.\nProven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, demonstrating expertise in leading the development of analytics products or similar.\nProficiency in relational database concepts, with a preference for MySQL.\nStrong programming skills in Python, R, or equivalent languages.\nAbility to collaborate effectively in team-based environments with a positive and supportive demeanor.\nCompetence in maintaining data pipelines and databases.\nCapability for autonomous work as a self-starter.\nThis position can be Full Time remote and located anywhere within the U.S.\nPotential to travel up to 10% annually.\nPreferred:\nAgile development process experience with Scrum preferred.\nFamiliarity with Unix-like operating systems, particularly Linux.\nExperience designing ETL processes for data transformation.\nBasic understanding of large-scale data warehousing technologies and tools.\nExpertise with Cloud Services, preferably AWS.\nThe estimated base salary for this job is $140,000 - $190,000 USD. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $168,000 - $228,000 USD. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
