Not just to ship services, but to design the systems, set the standards and keep everything we build running under load. You'll also raise the bar for the engineers around you.\nAbout the position\nYou'll own backend services in Node.js/TypeScript on AWS, from first requirement to production and beyond. Expect event-driven pipelines, secure connections and production you can see into.\nWhat success looks like after 6 months\nDomain owner: you're the go-to person for your services: how they work, how they fail and how to run them.\n\nEnd-to-end delivery: you've shipped a major feature from requirements to rollout, with a design doc others built from.\n\nReliable by default: your services have dashboards and alerts, and incidents end with a real fix.\n\nTeam multiplier: your reviews and standards make the team faster.\n\nKey responsibilities\nOwn the design: write HLDs/SDDs and drive projects through the full SDLC.\n\nBuild for scale: high-throughput services and event-driven pipelines on SQS, SNS, S3 and RabbitMQ.\n\nShip safely: run on AWS (ECS and Lambda) with staged rollouts per tenant and platform.\n\nMake production visible: dashboards, alerts and tracing in Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana.\n\nLead through incidents: coordinate recovery, run the RCA and ship the preventative fix.\n\nMentor: review code with care and share what you know.\n\nDay-to-day reality\nMostly hands-on building: designing, coding, reviewing and debugging across services.\n\nRegular work with client, platform, QA and support teams to gather requirements and validate end-to-end flows.\n\nFull ownership of what you ship, including on-call for it.
