This position is critical for production of segmented diamond blades.\nSHIFT:\nSecond (2nd) Monday - Friday 2:30 - 11:00 p.m.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nMethods:\nRadius grinding of segments\nLaser welding of segments to cores\nSharpening and exposure grinding of blades\nFollow company policies to insure compliance of EPA and environmental regulations in the segmented diamond blade process\nFollow company policies to insure compliance of OSHA safety and health regulations in the segmented diamond blade process\nMachinery:\nOrganization and selection of proper tooling to fulfill work requirements\nMaintain specialized knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing equipment operation\nCleaning of equipment for preparation of subsequent orders\nSet up and adjustment of radius grinder, laser welding machine and sharpening machine parameters\nMeasurements:\nPerform in-process quality checks on segments that include micrometer measurement of height, thickness and fit of radius to blade core\nTorque testing and visual inspection of weld joints for cosmetic appearance and structural integrity\nQuality checks on segmented diamond blades to include gauge measurement of side clearance\nRecord quality and order completion data\nEvaluate and confer with Quality Control on manufacturing process inspection techniques and standards\nPosition-specific Competencies:\nMaintain high level of attention to detail\nWorking cooperatively within team environment\nAbility to follow established guidelines and processes in a patience and precise manner\nCRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:\nWorking knowledge of basic industrial math\nWorking knowledge of the metric system of weights and measurements\nWorking knowledge of diamond tool design elements\nWorking knowledge of using micrometer for measurements\nWorking knowledge of using torque wrench\nWorking knowledge of laser welding technique\nEDUCATION, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh school or equivalent\nPrevious working experience with CNC equipment preferred\nAbility to lift, push/pull and stand for long periods of time\nStrong basic math skills necessary\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nAbove average exposure to manufacturing environment\nJob tasks will require contact with powder metal segments, sharp edges on machined components, powdered metal dusts and grime associated with manufacturing operations\nMust wear PPE in compliance with OSHA regulations\nFrequently lifting up to 30 lbs and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs\nOccasionally push/pull up to 15 lbs\nWalking and standing for long periods of time on concrete floors (full shifts)\nDaily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines\nWE OFFER:\nCompetitive compensation\nBenefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance at date of hire\nA 401(k) with matching and no vesting\nAn employee purchase discount on Husqvarna products\nAn education assistance program\nPaid parental leave \nEleven (11) Paid holidays\nPaid vacation and sick time\nHusqvarna is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to providing equal opportunity in all of our employment practices, including selection, hiring, assignment, re-assignment, promotion, transfer, compensation, discipline and termination.
