Also responsible for new process development including process design, operation, and implementation.\nSpecific Duties\nFollow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures andimmediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.\nDevelop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process.\nMaintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates,efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.\nOversee that process documentation, including work instructions and acceptance criteria,is created and up to date.\nLead problem solving activities, conduct root cause analysis, and develop correctiveaction plans.\nImplement lean manufacturing techniques - SMED, single piece flow, 5S.\nEnsure projects are completed on time.\nWork with in-house product design teams to optimize the design for manufacturability.\nWork with equipment designers, in-house engineering, and manufacturing staff todevelop a cost-effective and working production process.\nCollect, record, and transcribe data.\nShow results in reports.\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.\nQualifications\nProven work experience in process engineering and/or manufacturing engineering.\nExcellent technical skills.\nExperience in manufacturing is required.\nWorking knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.\nBe able to think analytically and have interpersonal skills.\nBS degree in Engineering preferred, but not required.\nMust be able to work in an un-airconditioned environment for a minimum of 8 hours perday.\nAbility to speak Spanish is a plus.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.\nThe employee frequently is required to sit; walk, talk and hear.
