Job Summary

We are looking for a high-performance Video Editor to join one of the fastest-growing marketing agencies in North America. This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to "cut clips"-we need a visual storyteller who understands the science of virality and the grit of the blue-collar industry. You will be joining an ambitious creative squad of editors tasked with engineering high-retention content that hooks viewers instantly and drives massive organic reach for businesses across the continent. Key Responsibilities

• Edit 5-10 high-impact videos per day, capturing the authentic, hard-working energy of trades-based businesses.
• Drive organic virality by engineering content specifically designed for high retention, leveraging trending audio, and mastering psychological hooks.
• Analyze content performance metrics to understand why videos succeed, using data to refine pacing and music choices.
• Collaborate with a team of two other dedicated editors to run creative workshops, share insights, and elevate the department's collective output.
• Manage post-production workflows for both photo and video projects, ensuring rapid turnaround times without sacrificing brand consistency.
• Brainstorm with account managers and designers to deliver polished, high-converting visual assets for social media, websites, and advertising.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging editing techniques, and AI tools to continuously level up production standards.

Requirements

• 3-4+ years of professional experience in video and photo production, preferably within an agency or fast-paced business environment.
• Proven track record of virality with a portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of TikTok, Reels, and Shorts algorithms.
• Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and the Creative Cloud suite, including Lightroom.
• Highly analytical mindset with the ability to edit based on watch time, CTR, and audience psychology.
• Ability to work at a high velocity, maintaining quality while producing a high volume of daily deliverables.
• Strong alignment with or curiosity about the blue-collar and trades industries.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace tools for file management and project organization.

Nice-to-Haves

• Advanced skills in motion graphics or animation specifically for short-form social content.
• Experience integrating AI media tools (such as Higgsfield) into production workflows to increase efficiency.
• Leadership experience or a desire to mentor and train junior creative staff.
