NASA is collaborating with Georgia Tech to design, build and fly a 1000 lb.-class unmanned research aircraft for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) at modest cost and in a relevant timeline. This aircraft will enable researchers and industry partners to obtain and publish unique flight test data at a relevant scale, provide a platform to develop practical methods for AAM vehicle design and operation, and train the next generation of aerospace engineers.\nRequired Skills:\nPractical experience with high power inverters, DC-DC converters, and DC bus management. \nExperience with Altium or similar schematic and layout packages. \nOther Desired Skills:\nStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and systematic testing skills required to safely conduct experimental demonstrations on prototype power electronics. \nExperience with common electrical engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, meters, and power supplies\nStrong technical documentation skills, including using Excel or MATLAB to accurately process and plot test results and experimental outcomes. \nExperience with developing test plans for power electronics which cover 1 to 4 quadrant testing. \nExperience:\nMust have one of the following combinations of education and experience:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 1 to 4 years of experience.\nMaster’s degree with 0 to 2 years of experience.\n\nOther Position Requirements:\nProof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.\nMust be able to complete a U.S. government background
