Founded in 2004, HX5 is a fast-growing veteran- and woman-owned company with locations nationwide.\nHX5 is currently seeking a Spacecraft Core Flight Software Engineer to join the JETSII Contract.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDecompose system requirements into software requirements\nDevelop Requirements Traceability Matrix\nWrite software to build interfaces between vehicle level GFE code and module level contractor-supplied code\nAnalyze performance of software interfaces and perform integration testing\nDevelop C / Python software to provide the required functionality\nPerform software testing and verification\nDevelop software documentation\nDocument interfaces and develop an Interface Control Document\nServe as SW Development and SW Testing Subject Matter Expert\nDevelop unit and interface verification tests\nPerform other duties as assigned\nEducation and Experience\nThis position has been posted at multiple levels. an ABET-accredited engineering school\nStrong C programming skills and experience within the last 2 years\nProficiency with C coding in a Linux environment\nStrong Python skills and experience within the last 2 years\nFamiliarity with Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools\nExperience with web-based collaboration tools\nExcellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills and strong customer service attitude\nAbility to work in a team environment and independently\nSystem and software configuration management experience\nGood oral and written communication with customers and team members\nExcellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple actions, and both short-term and long-term projects\nCustomer service oriented\nMust be willing to work onsite at Johnson Space Center\nPreferences:\nExperience with agile software development\nExperience with embedded processors\nExperience with VxWorks Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)\nData-driven architecture experience\nExperience with Core Flight System (cFS) Applications (or similar flight software framework)\nExperience with NASA NPR 7150.2 or DO-178C\nExperience with NASA Safety Standards and requirements, NASA-STD-8739.8, that drive the processes for Safety Critical Software Development\nExperience working as part of an Integrated Product Team to develop and test safety-critical flight software\nExperience with software testing and verification\nExperience developing software across the full development life cycle\nExperience with the following web-based collaboration tools:\nGitLab\nJIRA\nConfluence\nQuick learner and self-motivated\nAbility to manage multiple priorities with little supervision\nHighly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic\nHighly developed coordination and organization skills\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:\nThis is a full-time position and offers a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).\nOther
