In this role, you'll lead the pickup team, manage order fulfillment from storage to vehicle, and make sure every customer drives away happy.\nIf you are organized, customer-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to have you on our team.\nWhat You'll Do\nNo two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:\nProvide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every interaction a positive one\n\nFacilitate Aisles Online pickup orders in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner\n\nLead pickup location staff to provide efficient, helpful, and friendly pickup experiences\n\nGather orders and place in storage at the proper temperature, then promptly retrieve prior to the customer's arrival\n\nEnsure products maintain proper temperature throughout the entire pickup process\n\nCart orders to and place in the holding area for pickup, then lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles\n\nSelect, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones as needed\n\nTender customer orders through the POS system and process customer credit card payments\n\nSubstitute products for customers upon request or product unavailability\n\nAnswer the telephone and emails promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who reach out\n\nWork with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment\n\nPerform other job-related duties and special projects as required\n\nAdhere to all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines\n\nReport to work when scheduled and on time\n\nYour Skills\nCommitment to the Hy-Vee mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and team members in a friendly, professional manner\n\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision\n\nAbility to identify problems and develop and execute practical solutions\n\nAbility to substitute products for customers upon request and product unavailability\n\nReporting Relationships\nAccountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home; Online Shopping Department Manager\nDirect Reports: Aisles Online Pick Up Clerks\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\n\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas\n\nWhere applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation\n\nWhere applicable to the role: exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment\n\nWhere applicable to the role: ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards\n\nPerform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties\n\nWorking Environment\nThis is a fast-paced role performed both inside the store and outside at the curbside pickup area. You will have exposure to dust, noise, and temperature extremes, with possible equipment movement hazards and occasional potential for electrical hazards. There is constant pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks throughout your shift.
