Orders product and supplies and logs invoices as necessary.\nCore Competencies\nPartnerships\nGrowth mindset\nResults oriented\nCustomer focused\nProfessionalism\nReporting Relations:\nAccountable and Reports to: District Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Store Operations and Perishables; Pharmacy Department Manager; Pharmacists\nPositions that Report to you: None\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nProvides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.\nSmiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store.\nMakes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible.\nAssists customers by: (examples include)escorting them to the products they’re looking for\nsecuring products that are out of reach\nloading or unloading heavy items\nmaking note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests\nperforming other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience.\n\nAnswers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.\nStocks received product and supplies and marks stickers accordingly.\nWorks with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.\nReviews prescriptions that are not picked up as requested by department manager.\nOrders product and supplies at the department managers request.\nReviews invoices on product received.\nCoordinates nursing home medicines as necessary.\nLogs invoices as necessary.\nPrepares the paper work and compiles medicine for delivery orders and mail outs at the request of the department manager.\nCleans, empties garbage, etc. to ensure the pharmacy has a clean and inviting appearance.\nTakes orders for refills from customers.\nRemoves trash in a timely manner.\nMaintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.\nGathers patient information required to prepare prescriptions.\nKeeps pharmacy supplies well stocked.\nPerforms cash transactions.\nAdheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.\nReports to work when scheduled and on time.\nAdminister Vaccines as allowed by law\nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:\nCompletes the sale.\nAssists in other areas of store as needed.\nPerforms other job related duties and special projects as required.\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:\nMust have the ability to follow written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions; several concrete variables.\nAbility to do add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.\nPossess the ability to file, post, and mail materials; copy data from one record to another; interview to obtain basic information; guide people.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school or equivalent experience.\nOver six months up to one year of similar or related experience.\nIf applicable, vaccination certification as required by law.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be physically able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently; and exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.\nVisual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and field of vision.\nMust be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis position is exposed to noise on a daily basis. This is a fast paced work environment with significant pressure. There is an occasional exposure to dangerous chemicals/solvents while compounding products and chemotherapy drugs.\nEquipment Used to Perform Job:\nPC with pharmacy software and printer, cash register, pharmacy balance, scanner, calculator, telephone, fax, and copier.\nConfidentiality:\nMaintains the confidentiality of the customer’s private medical information.\nContacts:\nDeals with the general public on a daily basis, works with suppliers/vendors monthly.\nI understand that this pharmacy handles and prepares hazardous drugs. The USP 800 is intended to ensure that personnel of reproductive capability understand the risks of handling hazardous drugs. Accordingly, I acknowledge that exposure to hazardous drugs may cause acute and chronic effects.
