In this role, you'll represent Hy-Vee in customers' homes and communities, delivering care with professionalism and a friendly attitude.\nIf you are dependable, customer-focused, and take pride in doing things right on the road and at the door, we'd love to have you on our team.\nWhat You'll Do\nNo two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:\nProvide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every interaction a positive one\n\nDeliver pharmacy customers' prescriptions to specified locations in a timely and professional manner\n\nEnter and exit the delivery vehicle multiple times per shift, navigate staircases and varying terrain to reach delivery destinations\n\nMaintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle inside and out\n\nFacilitate the maintenance and upkeep of delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly\n\nMaintain the confidentiality of customers' private medical information in accordance with HIPAA\n\nWork with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment\n\nAssist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned\n\nMaintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines\n\nReport to work when scheduled and on time\n\nYour Skills\nCommitment to the Hy-Vee mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner\n\nAbility to identify problems and develop and execute solutions independently\n\nAbility to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing\n\nAbility to maintain a high level of discretion when handling confidential patient information\n\nReporting Relationships\nAccountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home; Service Managers; Pharmacy Department Manager\nEducation and Experience\nNo specific education required; we will provide all the training you need to succeed\n\nValid driver's license with no DOT restrictions required; must be 18 years or older to drive a company vehicle\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to frequently stand and walk while loading, transporting, and delivering pharmacy orders\n\nAbility to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards\n\nExposure to bloodborne pathogens and sharps associated with handling and delivering prescription medications, including controlled substances\n\nAbility to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties\n\nWorking Environment\nThis role keeps you on the move throughout your shift, driving a delivery vehicle and delivering prescriptions directly to customers. You will have continual exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, and equipment movement hazards, and there is significant pressure to deliver product in a timely manner.
