Fills prescriptions in accordance with all state and federal statutes and regulations under supervision of registered pharmacist.\nCore Competencies\nPartnerships\nGrowth mindset\nResults oriented\nCustomer focused\nProfessionalism\nReporting Relations\nAccountable and Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Pharmacy Department Manager\nPositions that Report to you: None\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\nFills and helps process prescriptions\nProvides prompt and efficient service\nAssists with inventory control, maintaining inventory levels by ordering and stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information into the computer\nWorks with co-workers as a team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies\nPrepares prescriptions\nReports any medication errors to appropriate personnel\nPrepares and affixes labels to prescription containers\nAssists in training employees\nAssists with monthly inventory\nFollows security and regulatory procedures including Quality Assurance Programs\nMaintains cleanliness of pharmacy and dispensing area\nMaintains a professional appearance\nAdheres to company policies\nReports to work when scheduled and on time\nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities \nAssists in other areas of the store as needed.\nPerforms other job related duties and special projects as required.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNone\nEducation and Experience\nSix months or less of similar or related work experience. Enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy and registered with State Pharmacy Board as an intern.\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics\nMust have the ability to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems; several abstract and concrete variables.\nMust be able to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; have increased contact with people; interview counsel or advise people; evaluate technical data.\nHave the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations.\nMust be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.\nVisual requirements include clarity of vision at distances of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet, and field of vision.\nThe following physical activity is necessary to perform this job: Fingering, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, lifting, stooping, and reaching.\nWorking Conditions\nFrequent exposure to noise on a daily basis. This position frequently involves a fast work pace in a retail store setting. Must be able to handle multiple tasks (filling scripts, answering telephone, waiting on customers, etc.) every day. There is an occasional exposure to dangerous chemicals/solvents.\nEquipment Used to Perform Job\nPC with pharmacy software and printer, Parata Express, Gladiator Hand-held unit, pharmacy balance, scanner, calculator, telephone, fax, and copier.\nFinancial Responsibility\nIs fully responsible for company assets including prescription inventory, third party accounts receivable, pharmacy computer and software, and pharmacy fixtures.\nContacts\nHas daily contact with pharmacy operations support staff and customers. Has occasional contact with general public, and suppliers/vendors, community or trade/professional organizations and federal/state governmental or regulatory agencies.\nConfidentiality\nMaintains the confidentiality of the customer’s private medical information according to the HIPAA act.
