This role contributes to moderately complex aspects of projects, working both independently and collaboratively to keep critical business systems available, secure, and performing well. If you have deep SAP BASIS experience, enjoy solving technical problems, and want your work to directly support the systems that keep Hy-Vee running, you'll excel in this role.\nWhat You'll Do\nParticipate in small to large SAP implementations\nContribute to maintenance activities related to system operation and availability\nParticipate in system installations, upgrades, and performance tuning\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing second-level support and assistance to other administrators and engineers\nCreate and contribute to technical documentation and diagrams\nContribute to the evaluation of new technologies\nParticipate in the off-hours on-call rotation\nMaintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, including payroll, inventory costs, sales, accounts payable and receivable, pharmacy data, and all data related to operations\nYour Skills\nCommitment to the Hy-Vee mission and a willingness to promote the company's values\nStrong knowledge of SAP administration concepts, ERP and SAP BASIS best practices, business processes, and data structures\nDemonstrated technical ability to execute small to medium system administration tasks in SAP and recommend strategies for future solutions\nExperience with change control procedures, including transport management\nSkill in debugging, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work directly with business partners to gather requirements, design solutions, and write technical documentation\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and take initiative without being instructed\nAbility to stay current on company and industry trends and adhere to regulatory requirements\nReporting Relationships\nAccountable and Reports to: IT Manager/Director\nEducation and Experience\nAssociate's degree or higher in information technology or a related field\n5-10 years of information technology or related experience\n5-10 years of SAP BASIS administration experience, preferably in retail\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to communicate effectively in writing and verbally\nAbility to operate standard office technology, including computers and telephones\nAbility to review and analyze documents and data on screen\nAbility to occasionally transport materials weighing up to 10 pounds (such as files or office supplies)\nWorking Environment\nWork is performed in a general office setting with frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities. Equipment used includes a desktop and/or laptop computer, third-party applications, printers, and a telephone.
