This is an onsite position in Bethlehem, PA.\nYou will make an impact in this role by:\nTasks:\nSelect HYDAC product via crossing over competitive products to HYDAC\nDetermine similar products, when selected product is not available - product conversions (what product can be used instead that have more readily available)\nAssist customers with product selection/ configuration\nAssist customers with applications utilizing our products\nAnswer product specification questions via spec sheet, catalog, or working with Product Division\nCommunication product features and differentiation between products\nWork with Technical Support with the Product Divisions to answer technical questions, select products, etc. when necessary\nWork closely with Customer Service to assist customers with lead-time and product selection issues\nAssist with quote development for HYDAC sales team\nCommunicate price and delivery when needed\nAssist in expediting and relay delivery status when needed\nFollow up and monitor leads distributed within region to Distribution or HYDAC sales\nAssist in supporting House Accounts within region (making virtual calls to customers)\nAssist in target marketing and sales efforts by making phone calls to targeted markets and customers\nPotentially visit customers or distributors for training or technical assistance\nRequirements\nTo be considered for the Sales Engineer role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:\nSkills and Attributes:\nTechnical capability to understand and recommend product\nAbility to understand and communicate technical specification from catalog or specification sheet\nAbility to develop and foster customer relationships\nStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop cross-functional relationships\nStrong written and verbal communication skills including writing business correspondence\nStrong organizational skills\nWillingness to travel when needed\nAbility to use the Internet, Project Management software, spreadsheets and word processing software\nAbility to work in SAP\nAbility to work independently to set daily priorities and workload\nExperience And Education:\nAssociate or Bachelor's degree preferred\nExperience or education in fluid power, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics\nTechnical support experience preferred\nHYDAC offers employees a comprehensive medical/dental/vision plan, paid holidays, PTO, 401k with company matching, FSA account, short term disability and life insurance, and pet insurance.\nClick the “apply” button to be considered for this opening!\nHYDAC is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
