The ideal location is in Des Moines, IA or close to that area.\nYou will make an impact in this role by:\nSupport relationships and business efforts with assigned distributors including technical support, product selection, training, sales calls, and general commercial support.\nIncrease sales and profit margins with assigned distributors.\nAssist Regional Distribution Manager to implement HYDAC Corporate Sales Strategy, Distribution Programs alone with keeping CRM update for assigned accounts within the distributor (accounts not assigned to Key Account Managers).\nResponsible for coordinating internal resources (IE - Product Managers) as required to support distributor(s) for HYDAC products and solutions including quotations.\nEffectively communicate market trends and product competitiveness to management and new business.\nNew business opportunities should also be communicated to Product Managers for review as required.\nSubmit a monthly report to consist of target accounts updates, quotation feedback, and distributor updates and training.\nProvide HYDAC Corporate with other status changes, as well as forecast feedback for S&OP process.\nRequirements\nKey skills and attributes include:\nHighly motivated.\nTechnical capability to understand and recommend hydraulic circuits and solutions.\nAbility to develop value proposition for HYDAC and it's products/solutions.\nAbility to develop and foster customer relationships.\nStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop cross-functional relationships.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills including writing business correspondence, reports, and presentation skills.\nAbility to implement strategic direction.\nDemonstrated ability to grow sales in a designated territory.\nCustomer empathy/customer advocate mentality.\nStrong project management skills.\nDemonstrated ability to identify, develop, and close prospect accounts.\nWillingness to travel (50%).\nAbility to use the Internet, Project Management software, spreadsheets, and word processing software.\nAbility to work independently to set daily priorities and workload.\nTo be considered for the Distribution Sales Manager role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:\nAssociate's degree (A.A.) required, Bachelor's degree preferred.\nHydraulics knowledge.\nMinimum 1 year of sales experience selling an engineered product.\nHYDAC offers employees a comprehensive medical/dental/vision plan, paid holidays, PTO, 401k with company matching, FSA account, short term disability and life insurance, and pet insurance.\nClick the “apply” button to be considered for this opening!\nHYDAC is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
