Our passionate team designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of innovative and reliable solutions optimized to meet the demands of our customers.\nPosition Summary\nHYDAC is currently seeking a qualified Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Schaumburg division. This position will work primarily on 2nd shift and will play an important role in developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes.\nThe Manufacturing Engineer will design and commission manufacturing processes to support New Product Introduction (NPI), provide technical support to the shop floor, ensure manufacturing and design standards are met, and identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity, quality, and process improvements. This position will also coordinate and exercise functional authority for the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of assigned projects.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, implement, and commission manufacturing processes to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and the successful transition of new products into production.\nProvide hands-on engineering and technical support to the shop floor, including troubleshooting production issues and developing effective corrective actions.\nDevelop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.\nIdentify and implement cost-reduction and continuous improvement opportunities, including improvements to workflow, processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.\nEnsure manufacturing processes and practices meet established design, engineering, quality, and manufacturing standards.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve operations.\nCoordinate project planning, organization, integration, and execution to ensure successful completion of assigned projects.\nMonitor project progress and communicate project status, issues, and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders.\nMaintain engineering documentation, process instructions, and other required records.\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.\nAbility to apply engineering principles, logical and scientific thinking, and mathematical concepts to solve complex technical and manufacturing problems.\nKnowledge of manufacturing and quality processes, capabilities, and APQP.\nStrong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.\nStrong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nExperience with CAD/CAM software, fixture and tooling design, and knowledge of manufacturing materials.\nKnowledge of SolidWorks, Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel; experience with Minitab is a plus.\nExperience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, professional publications, business documents, and governmental regulations.\nAbility to prepare technical reports, business correspondence, procedures, and other written documentation.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information and respond to questions from employees, managers, customers, and other stakeholders.\nStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to develop effective cross-functional relationships.\nSelf-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.\nPrevious manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment preferred.\nExperience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and process development is a plus.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAbility to work effectively with production personnel, engineers, and cross-functional teams.\nStrong organizational and project management skills.\nAbility to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nHands-on approach with the ability to provide support directly on the manufacturing floor.\nSchedule\n2nd Shift\nThis position is expected to work on 2nd shift Monday -
