You will report to the global HYDAC SOC Team lead located in Germany. The position will require a yearly visit to HYDAC Germany and the possibility of other travel. With the HYDAC IT Department you will join an organization with flat hierarchies, high dynamics and quick decisions. You will become a member of a young and dedicated team.\nYou will make an impact in this role by:\nTriage, first categorization of potential security events \nCollection of data for further analysis\nPreparation of data for further investigation \nDocumentation of cases and carried out tasks\nForensic investigation of collected data and images. \nComplete and detailed documentation of investigations\nCollaborate on the implementation of immediate measures to minimize risk and initiate additional action if required \nThreat Hunting, active hunting of potential attacks using logging systems such as Elastic.\nRespond to anomalies in IT Systems and/or IT Infrastructure\nReport on a potential serious IT Security event to the IT Security organization \nCoordinate with internal IT teams and external Service providers for containment and remediation\nAssist in the development and ongoing refinement of use cases to identify potential attacks \nHelp to further develop our approach to IT security processes and systems\nRequirements\nKey skills and attributes include:\nStrong knowledge of network security, operating systems, protocols, and attack techniques\nSkills in Programming Python or PowerShell are a plus\nExperience with ELK SIEM or similar tools like Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, \nExperience with PA Cortex XSOAR, Tines or similar SOAR solutions\nExperience with Threat Intelligence platforms\nFamiliarity with vulnerability management\nCuriosity in the field of IT security and forensic\nTo be considered for the SOC Analyst role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:\nSuccessfully completed degree in computer science, IT security, engineering or comparable professional experience.\nSOC experience minimum 1 year\nCertifications such as CompTIA Security+, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP are advantageous\nExcellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)\nHYDAC offers employees a comprehensive medical/dental/vision plan, paid holidays, PTO, 401k with company matching, FSA account, short term disability and life insurance, and pet insurance.\nClick the “apply” button to be considered for this opening!\nHYDAC is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
