Controller\n\nLocation: Lagos\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nJob Description\n\nWe are seeking a commercially astute and results-driven Financial Controller to lead financial control, reporting and compliance, ensuring strong financial governance, effective cost management and reliable financial insights to support business growth and profitability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOversee financial reporting, accounting operations and preparation of accurate financial statements.\nEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.\nCoordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.\nLead budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management and variance analysis.\nMonitor revenue, costs, margins and working capital to support profitability and sound financial decision-making.\nStrengthen internal controls, financial risk management and governance processes.\nDrive improvements in financial processes, reporting accuracy and cost efficiency.\nOversee tax planning, statutory remittances and financial compliance obligations.\nLead and develop the finance team, promoting accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement.\nProvide management with financial analysis, insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.\n\nRequirements\n\nProficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel.\nRelevant industry experience in FMCG or Oil & Gas is required.\nStrong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls and regulatory compliance.\nStrong analytical, leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.\nProfessional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or an equivalent recognised accounting qualification.\nDemonstrated experience in financial analysis, cost management, cash flow monitoring and financial performance reporting.\n5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including substantial experience in financial control or a senior finance
