This hands-on leadership role is responsible for Power BI architecture, semantic model design, development pipeline governance, and mentoring BI developers, ensuring that every report and dashboard the business depends on is accurate, scalable, and built to last.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nLead and mentor BI developers, establishing architectural and coding standards and conducting design and code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and performance.\n\nImplement structured development workflows using Power BI Projects (PBIP) and Git-based version control; embed documentation and governance practices into the development lifecycle.\n\nManage the BI development backlog and priorities; track and report on delivery metrics, pipeline health, and release status with clear, executive-ready updates on initiative progress and risks.\n\nLead structured requirement gathering and solution design processes; produce and maintain clear technical and functional documentation that supports scalability, audit readiness, and knowledge transfer.\n\nOperate within formal IT service management frameworks; manage BI-related incidents, requests, and changes through structured tracking systems.\n\nEnsure production stability, reliability, and continuous improvement across the BI environment.\n\nDevelop KPI frameworks that improve service performance and customer satisfaction; enable proactive monitoring and root-cause analysis.\n\nIncrease automation across reporting workflows to improve development efficiency and reporting speed.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.\n\n7+ years of enterprise BI experience.\n\nAdvanced Power BI expertise including complex DAX development, semantic model design and optimization, star schema data modeling, performance tuning of large datasets, and row-level security implementation.\n\nExperience working with Snowflake or other enterprise cloud data platforms.\n\nStrong SQL skills.\n\nExperience implementing Power BI Projects (PBIP) and using Git-based version control systems.\n\nDemonstrated experience producing structured technical and solution documentation.\n\nExperience working within formal IT service management environments.\n\nExperience managing development backlogs and providing delivery status reporting.\n\nExperience leading or mentoring BI developers.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong customer-service mindset.\n\nPreferred\nExperience modernizing or scaling BI functions within a growing organization.\n\nFamiliarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD practices for analytics solutions.\n\nExperience improving enterprise data models in partnership with data engineering teams.\n\nExperience applying AI or advanced analytics techniques within reporting and analytics environments (e.g., automation, anomaly detection, predictive insights, AI-assisted development workflows).\n\nExposure to modern productivity or AI-assisted development tools.\n\nIndustry certifications (Power BI, Azure, ITIL, or related).\n\nExposure to Python, Streamlit, or AI-assisted analytics development workflows is a plus.\n\nExperience supporting global or publicly traded organizations.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB\nPrimarily office-based role with extended periods of sedentary computer work.\n\nStandard mobility required for team collaboration, design reviews, and cross-functional meetings.\n\nWork Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week in office)\n\nWe mean it when we say you’ll LOVE this role.\nBase Pay: $121,000 - $140,000 + Bonus\nAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
