Provide technical support to production and sales and ensure all Quality Assurance/Quality Control practices and procedures are followed. This position will uphold the Hydrite “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.\nSCHEDULE FOR THIS POSITION IS MONDAY-FRIDAY 7am-3:30pm WHILE ALSO COVERING OFF SHIFTS AS NEEDED! \nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES \nUphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers.\nPerform required quality control analysis of incoming, manufactured and outgoing materials with authority to make acceptance, production adjustments or rejection decisions.\nMaintain records accurately, neatly, legibly and completely.\nPerform daily laboratory activities to help meet production requirements.\nPerform instrument maintenance, calibrations, quality control checks, solutions preparations and standardization.\nAssist in addressing customer product complaints and returns through investigation and analysis and process laboratory portion of paperwork. Suggest corrective action.\nAssure timely technical support to production in regards to manufacturing adjustments and quality issues.\nAssure timely response of material acceptance/rejection decisions.\nMaintain a clean and neat laboratory at all times; clean glassware.\nCommunicate to supervisor concerns about laboratory practices, operational problems, quality trends, etc.\nPerform and complete analysis, projects, analytical developments and revisions of quality policies as assigned by supervisor.\nPromote complete customer satisfaction through quality and service to both external and internal customers\nPerform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.\nParticipate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.\nPerform administrative duties which includes the generation, distribution and filing of Certificates of Analysis.\nMaintain analytical capabilities.\nMust manage any wastes in accordance with applicable SOPs, including labeling, storage, and profiling.\nWorks with other staff members to maintain workload balances. Provide backup support as necessary.\nSupports effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.\nREPORTING STRUCTURE\nThis position reports to the QC Manager\nEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA\nA Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required; preferably in a science related field.\nMust possess good laboratory analytical skills.\nMust have good presentation and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate in English.\nAble to apply advanced math skills and use involved problem solving.\nMust be self-motivated and initiate continuous improvement.\nAbility to perform multiple tasks.\nMust have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS \nAble to stand six to seven hours a day.\nAbility to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours a day without restrictions. Please refer to the SOP for facial hair guidelines.\nAble to perform tasks requiring good manual dexterity.\nAble to lift 50 pounds.\nBend, twist, and squat on occasion.\nClimb ladders or stairs multiple times per day.\nDue to safety concerns, the wearing of contact lenses is prohibited.\nMust meet DOT vision requirements\nJOB EXPECTATIONS \nUphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers.\nParticipate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required.
