The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our equipment and machinery.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPromote and be a steward of our organizations Safety Culture and Core Values\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.\nEnsure proper LOTO procedures and all work permits are utilized for safe maintenance operations\nLead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks.\nDevelop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues, and perform necessary repairs.\nMaintain an inventory of necessary spare parts and tools, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement.\nCoordinate and communicate with vendors for equipment and facility maintenance.\nInvestigate and report all accidents, injuries, incidents, property damage and near misses in department.\nPerform routine safety inspections as required and maintain high level of housekeeping.\nPerform coaching of employees for recognition, reward, or constructive correction.\nProvide training and support to maintenance technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs performed.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency.\nProvide back-up maintenance support to maintenance technicians\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWho You Are:\nCommitted to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols.\nExperience in industrial maintenance planning and supervision experience\nPossess a recognized electro-mechanical certification.\nIntermediate knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and the ability to troubleshoot and program them.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the aluminum or manufacturing industry.\nProven experience in leading and supervising a maintenance team.\nStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, management, and external partners.\nProficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant computer applications.\nWho We Are\nCare, Courage, & Collaboration\nAt Hydro We care about our People!\nWe care about Safety!\nHydro in North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer where all phases of employment are based strictly upon the qualifications of the individual as related to the work requirements of the position.
