This position is responsible for auditing, quality system compliance, nonconformance management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. As a key partner to plant leadership, engineering, and operations, the role drives quality system effectiveness, facilitates MRB activities, ensures timely resolution of quality issues, and promotes a culture of operational excellence and customer focus.\nEssential Job Responsibilities:\nSupport the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS).\nEnsure compliance with ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and automotive quality standards.\nPartner with plant leadership to support IATF 16949 readiness initiatives and quality system maturity.\nSupport new product launches through APQP activities, PPAP submissions, process audits, and launch readiness reviews.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and ensure successful program launches.\nLead internal audits and support customer and third-party audits.\nManage nonconforming material processes, including containment, disposition, and corrective action activities.\nParticipate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities to evaluate product nonconformances and determine appropriate disposition.\nDrive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality performance.\nSupport customer and supplier quality activities, including audits, corrective actions, and compliance requirements.\nServe as a quality systems resource for internal teams, customers, and suppliers.\nMonitor quality KPIs and prepare data for management reviews.\nTrack quality objectives and drive actions that improve system effectiveness, scrap reduction, and customer satisfaction.\nWhat will make you successful?\nRequired Education/Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.\nAt least 4 years of professional experience in manufacturing quality engineering.\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nExperience with IATF 16949 implementation, certification readiness, or quality system management.\n\nInternal, customer, and third-party auditing experience.\n\nMRB, nonconformance management, and corrective action experience.\n\nEqual opportunities\nHydro in North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer where all phases of employment are based strictly upon the qualifications of the individual as related to the work requirements of the position.
