You will work with modern data technologies and backend frameworks to ensure reliable access to data and efficient data workflows.\nYou will collaborate closely with other engineers, provide technical guidance where needed, and help drive continuous improvements across the team's data engineering capabilities.\n🔧 Key Responsibilities\nBuild, maintain, and improve data pipelines using distributed data-processing technologies.\nDevelop and maintain scalable data solutions that support the team's needs.\nBuild backend APIs and services to enable efficient and reliable access to data.\nProvide technical support and share knowledge with colleagues on data engineering topics.\nIdentify opportunities for technical improvements and drive initiatives from idea to implementation.\nCollaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to design practical, scalable solutions.\nTake end-to-end ownership of your work and ensure high-quality delivery.\nContribute to a collaborative, high-trust, and fast-paced engineering environment.\nSkills\nPython\nScala\nJava\nSkills & requirements\n✅ Required Skills & Qualifications\nProfessional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar technical role.\nStrong programming skills in Python and Java or Scala.\nSolid backend development experience, ideally with Scala Play Framework or an equivalent framework.\nStrong general software engineering and problem-solving skills.\nExperience developing and maintaining software solutions and data-processing workflows.\nA bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree is a strong advantage.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to work independently, take responsibility, and drive tasks forward.\nA collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.\nAbility to work on-site at the client's office in Malmö three days per week.\n⭐ Nice-to-Have Skills & Technologies\nExperience with one or more of the following technologies will be an advantage:\nApache Spark and Apache Flink for distributed data processing.\nApache Iceberg for modern data lake architectures.\nMicroservices deployed on Kubernetes.\nSnowflake for cloud data warehousing.\nApache Kafka for event streaming and data integration.\nAkka for concurrent and distributed applications.\nGrafana for monitoring and data visualisation.\nMachine learning concepts, tools, or practical ML projects.\n👤 Our Ideal Candidate\nYou thrive in an environment where you are trusted to take ownership and make independent decisions.
