You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers and specialists in calibration and optimisation across an international engineering environment.\nThe role covers the complete development lifecycle, including advanced engineering, industrialisation, maintenance, and quality improvements.\n🎯 Key Responsibilities\nDesign and implement control strategies for embedded engine control systems.\nDevelop software for future engine concepts and production-ready ECU applications.\nModel and implement control functionality using MATLAB, Simulink, and TargetLink.\nVerify and validate embedded software functionality.\nCollaborate with hardware design, calibration, and optimisation teams.\nContribute to technical problem-solving across complex engine systems.\nSupport industrialisation, maintenance activities, and software quality improvements.\nWork collaboratively with engineering teams across different locations to deliver reliable solutions.\n✅ Required Skills & Experience\nMaster's degree in Mechatronics or a related technical field.\nStrong understanding of control theory, control-system modelling, and embedded software.\nExperience designing and implementing control strategies in embedded control systems.\nPractical knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink.\nExperience or familiarity with TargetLink and model-based software development.\nUnderstanding of ECU software implementation and verification.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood spoken and written English.\nAbility to work effectively in small, agile teams within an international engineering environment.\n⭐ Nice to Have\nExperience developing embedded software for combustion engines or powertrain systems.\nExperience with TargetLink-based code generation and model-based development workflows.\nKnowledge of engine calibration, optimisation, and hardware integration.\nExperience working across advanced engineering, production development, and maintenance phases.\nFamiliarity with agile development practices in automotive engineering.\n👤 Who Should Apply?\nWe are looking for a technically curious and collaborative engineer who can take ownership of complex engineering challenges and drive solutions forward.
