You’ll also review creative-performance data, identify why ads are winning or losing and independently develop the next iterations.\nThe strongest person will combine exceptional editing standards with commercial judgement, speed, autonomy and a strong understanding of how paid-social creative performs.\nWhat you’ll do\nEdit direct-response video for Meta and other paid-social channels\n\nTurn strategist briefs, scripts, raw footage, UGC and existing assets into compelling ads\n\nBuild strong hooks, pacing, narrative, captions, graphics, sound design and calls to action\n\nUnderstand the customer insight and commercial objective behind each brief\n\nUse AI video and production tools where they improve speed, quality or creative possibilities\n\nReview ad-performance data including spend, ROAS, CPA, CTR, hook rate and retention\n\nIdentify the elements driving or limiting performance\n\nIndependently create new iterations based on evidence, rather than waiting for detailed instructions\n\nSeparate weak concepts from weak executions and recommend the next test\n\nProduce variations efficiently without reducing every idea to superficial hook swaps\n\nPartner closely with Creative Strategists and media buyers\n\nMaintain consistently high creative standards across multiple brands and markets\n\nOrganise files, versions and feedback clearly across a high-output environment\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nStrong experience editing direct-response or performance video for DTC/eCommerce brands\n\nA portfolio showing high-quality paid-social video, not only organic or brand content\n\nEvidence that you have analysed ad results and used the findings to improve creative\n\nStrong command of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or comparable tools\n\nPractical experience with AI video tools such as Runway, Sora, Veo, Kling, ElevenLabs or similar\n\nAn intuitive understanding of hooks, pacing, visual storytelling and conversion-focused editing\n\nAbility to work from lean briefs and take ownership without significant hand-holding\n\nStrong communication and collaboration with strategists and performance marketers\n\nReliable availability across European working hours\n\nHigh personal standards, pace and accountability\n\nUseful, but not essential\nExperience across international or multi-language markets\n\nEditing UGC, VSL, founder-led, product-demonstration and cinematic AI creative\n\nExperience within hobby, wellness, beauty, consumer or other high-volume DTC categories\n\nMotion design, sound design or broader production capability\n\nWhat SMT offers\nA genuinely high-volume creative environment with meaningful performance data\n\nThe opportunity to work alongside experienced Creative Strategists\n\nAutonomy to shape creative, not simply execute instructions\n\nInternational brands operating at significant paid-social scale\n\nA flat, fast-moving and highly commercial culture\n\nRemote working with European-hours collaboration\n\nPackage and working arrangements\nBase: €2,500-€4,000 gross per month, full-time.\nContract: SMT Group can accommodate either an employee or contractor arrangement.\nLocation: Fully remote.\nWorking style: High trust and output-led.
