The next it could mean resolving a customs issue, organising an urgent collection for a test campaign or making sure sensitive equipment reaches another Hypersonica location on time.\nYou will work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, AIT, Quality, Engineering and Programmes to make sure physical hardware keeps moving as quickly and reliably as the company does.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn day to day inbound and outbound logistics across Hypersonica’s UK operations. \nCoordinate shipments between suppliers, Hypersonica sites, manufacturing partners and test locations. \nWork directly with freight forwarders, specialist logistics providers, couriers and transport partners. \nPrepare and manage the documentation required for domestic and international shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists and customs information. \nSupport movement of goods between the UK and EU, working through customs requirements and resolving issues quickly when shipments are delayed or held. \nUnderstand and apply Incoterms appropriately across supplier and intercompany movements. \nCoordinate movement of high value, sensitive and specialist aerospace hardware where timing, handling and traceability matter. \nTrack critical shipments proactively rather than waiting for somebody to ask where they are. \nBuild simple, reliable visibility around what is moving, when it is expected and where risk sits. \nWork closely with Procurement and suppliers to make sure collections are booked at the right point and documentation is correct before goods move. \nSupport Manufacturing and AIT with material movements required for builds, integration and test activity. \nCoordinate urgent logistics when programme priorities change or hardware needs to move faster than originally planned. \nHelp establish the processes and systems required to support a rapidly growing UK manufacturing operation. \nMaintain accurate shipment and logistics data within our ERP and other internal systems. \nSupport appropriate handling of export controlled, dangerous or otherwise regulated goods where required. \nWork with the wider Supply Chain team in Germany to support cross-border and intercompany movements. \nBuild strong relationships with logistics partners so that when something genuinely urgent happens, we have people we can rely on. \nTravel to suppliers, Hypersonica sites or other locations when required to resolve issues in person. \nWho you are\nExperienced in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, shipping or operations within aerospace, defence, automotive, advanced manufacturing or another complex hardware environment. \nComfortable taking ownership of shipments from collection through to delivery rather than simply placing bookings. \nFamiliar with international shipping documentation and customs processes. \nComfortable working with Incoterms and understanding who is responsible for what during a shipment. \nHighly organised and able to manage multiple movements at once without losing sight of what is genuinely critical. \nSomeone who naturally follows problems through to resolution. \nCalm when a shipment is delayed, paperwork is wrong or the original plan stops working. \nComfortable picking up the phone and chasing a supplier, courier, customs broker or freight forwarder until the issue is resolved. \nDetail orientated without becoming process heavy. \nAble to work across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Programmes and understand why one crate may matter significantly more than another. \nComfortable operating in an environment where priorities change quickly and not everything has an established process yet. \nMotivated by building something rather than simply inheriting a mature logistics operation. \nNice to have\nExperience within aerospace, defence, space or other regulated technical industries. \nExperience moving high value or flight critical hardware. \nKnowledge of UK and EU customs processes. \nExperience with export controlled goods. \nDangerous goods awareness or certification. \nFamiliarity with ERP systems such as SAP. \nExperience supporting prototype, NPI or low volume manufacturing environments. \nExperience coordinating shipments for test campaigns, field operations or remote sites. \nWhat we offer\nThe opportunity to help build the logistics capability behind one of Europe’s most ambitious defence technology companies. \nReal ownership from day one. \nDirect exposure to advanced aerospace hardware and the teams designing, manufacturing and testing it. \nShort decision paths and the autonomy to solve problems without unnecessary bureaucracy. \nA role where your work has an immediate impact on whether programmes move forward or stop. \nThe chance to build systems and ways of working rather than simply inherit them. \nHigh ownership and autonomy.
