: Chief Agentic Architect\n\nWe are looking for a Chief Agentic Architect to transform a 8+ year legacy codebase into a modern, high-velocity, agent-operable architecture.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have deep expertise in backend system architecture, object-oriented design, API development, distributed systems, and legacy modernization, while remaining hands-on with software development.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n- Lead the modernization of a 8+ year legacy codebase into a scalable, modular, and agent-operable architecture.\n\n- Design and implement backend system architectures with clear boundaries, reusable components, and strong separation of responsibilities.\n\n- Build APIs from scratch, defining API contracts, service interfaces, integration patterns, and data flows.\n\n- Apply strong object-oriented design principles and design patterns to create maintainable and extensible systems.\n\n- Break down complex legacy applications into modular services and modern components.\n\n- Drive architectural decisions around scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.\n\n- Remain hands-on with coding and contribute directly to critical backend development and modernization initiatives.\n\n- Design distributed systems and backend services that can support AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows.\n\n- Evaluate and integrate Agentic AI, MCP, LLM tooling, and AI-assisted development where they provide meaningful engineering value.\n\n- Establish clean-code practices, architectural standards, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices.\n\n- Review existing systems, identify technical debt, and define practical modernization strategies.\n\n- Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and implementation decisions.\n\n- Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, and technical leadership teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.\n\n- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while maintaining a strong hands-on engineering contribution.\n\n- Ensure systems are deterministic, testable, production-ready, and suitable for long-term evolution.\n\nRequired Skills : \n\n- 8+ years of experience in software architecture, backend engineering, platform engineering, or technical leadership.\n\n- Proven experience modernizing large, complex, and undocumented legacy systems.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience in backend system architecture and software development.\n\n- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean-code principles.\n\n- Proven experience building APIs from scratch and designing API-first backend systems.\n\n- Strong experience with distributed systems, modular architectures, microservices, and system integration.\n\n- Strong programming experience in one or more modern programming languages, with the flexibility to work across different languages and technology stacks.\n\n- Practical experience with Agentic AI, MCP, LLM tooling, or AI-assisted software engineering.\n\n- Strong architectural problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in complex technical environments.\n\n- Strong communication and technical leadership skills.\n\nGood to Have : \n\n- Experience working with TypeScript, .NET, or Node.js.\n\n- Experience with remote-first or globally distributed engineering teams.\n\n- Background in SaaS transformations, scale-ups, or PE-backed environments.\n\n- Experience working in high-ambiguity, high-ownership environments.\n\n- Experience designing
