This role partners with procurement, finance, engineering, and program teams to manage purchasing for a Department of Defense (DoD) program. The position is primarily on-site, with limited remote flexibility as approved by your manager. An active Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI.\nI2X Technologies is seeking a Buyer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Boulder, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active *Secret with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.\nProcurement & Analysis\nPurchase Other Direct Cost (ODC) materials, equipment, and services in support of a DoD contract.\nDevelop and manage competitive Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).\nCollaborate with engineering and project leads to clarify requirements, specifications, and timelines.\nDetermine solicitation methods and evaluation criteria in alignment with FAR/DFARS and company policy.\nManage supplier communication, evaluate quotes, perform pricing/technical analyses, and monitor order status.\nEnsure procurement requests are documented, approved, and accurately tracked within the BOM and ERP system.\nIdentify supply chain risks and recommend mitigation strategies.\nContract Administration & Deliverables Support\nMaintain accurate procurement and contract documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.\nCoordinate issuance of Purchase Orders and work closely with finance to track deliveries and reconcile invoices.\nMonitor supplier performance and escalate issues when necessary.\nCompliance, Coordination & Reporting\nEnsure adherence to applicable FAR/DFARS requirements and internal procurement procedures.\nSupport program and technical meetings by preparing agendas, capturing notes, tracking action items, and driving follow-up.\nContribute to procurement reporting and process improvement initiatives.\nQualifications\nBuyer Experience\n2-4 years of procurement experience supporting DoD or Federal contracts.\nCurrent DOD Secret clearance\nExperience with RFQs, POs, BOM management, and supplier engagement.\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical information.\nEffective communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nExperience using procurement/ERP systems such as JAMIS Prime and ability to learn new tools quickly.\nFamiliarity with FAR/DFARS and purchasing under BPAs or contract vehicles.\nExperience working with CUI or within security-sensitive environments.\nProactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nEducation and Certifications\nBachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial or Systems Engineering, or a related field.\nIn lieu of a degree, 4 years of relevant procurement experience will be considered.\nAdditional Information: In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is listed.
