Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, the Department of Defense and often focused on the space initiatives of our government customers.\nI2X Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer / SCRUM Master to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance.\nHybrid Scrum Master/Software Engineer who will report to the Product Owner and provide leadership while contributing hands on Java development. \nApproximately 30% of the role’s time will be dedicated to facilitating Agile ceremonies (daily stand ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and guiding the team through Program Increment (PI) planning, feature decomposition, and cross team dependency management; the remaining 70% will focus on designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining Java applications, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools for the Planner subsystem.\nThe ideal candidate brings proven Scrum Master experience (certification preferred), 3-5+ years of Java development in a missile defense or high availability systems environment, strong technical and people skills, and familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for government financial tracking as a plus. \nSuccess will be measured by timely delivery of sprint and PI objectives, high team engagement, rapid impediment removal, and high quality, mission critical software that meets performance, security, and reliability standards.\nQualifications\nGenerally has 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.\nActive Secret clearance.\nPrior experience as a software engineer, systems engineer, or other technical contributor supporting software development teams.\nUnderstanding of software engineering and software development with Java/J2EE experience or alternate object-oriented development experience (additional experience with C++ also desired).\nExperience and knowledge of software practices such as coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines and configuration management.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.\nExperience using Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to support Agile software development teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting software engineering on DoD programs / missile defense.\nExperience decomposing Agile features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria (PI and Sprint planning).\nExperience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.\nExperience leading Agile teams supporting complex DoD software systems.\nAgile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).\nAdditional Information: In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is listed.
