This position will be on-site and will require an active *TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.\nI2X is seeking aLead Facility Network Comm Project Engineer with enterprise WAN/LAN experience to support a prime contractor role at a Government Research and Development facility in Boulder, CO. This customer-facing position requires a self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team and possesses strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Experience in working with cross functional Government SETAs, FFRDCs, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Capability Integration Development (CID) team members is a plus. There is a minimum onsite support requirement for M-F during core business hours of 9-3pm MT. Occasional/infrequent after hours/weekend support may be required\nResponsibilities:\nLead site surveys, technical interchange meetings, and design reviews to collaborate with multiple tenants and external comm providers to identify requirements, risks, and dependencies that drive new or upgrade designs\nLeverage technical experience and in-depth knowledge of the facility communications infrastructure to facilitate, integrate, and test new tenant connections and ensure they meet levied requirements\nManage, maintain, and troubleshoot existing circuits and respond rapidly to planned or unplanned events\nAnalyze existing comm circuits and strategize ways to improve bandwidth and performance to meet growing tenant requirements\nDocument facility comm systems and maintain detailed records using configuration management processes\nFacilitate communication between multiple onsite tenants and external comm providers to ensure solutions and requirements are aligned \nServe as primary facility POC for external comms for anomalies or issues requiring attention or escalation\nFacilitate tracking, stakeholder status updates, and closure updates to external communications efforts\nPerform configuration management oversight and documentation for external communications network environments\nServe as the program representative on technical approval boards for external comm related items\nCollaborate with tenants and external comm providers on outages, testing, upgrades, impacts, risks, mitigation, status, and reporting in conjunction with planned or unplanned events\nWork with tenants and comm providers on external network comm architecture, design, and requirements\nIdentify and provide briefings to stakeholders regarding requirements and scope for external comm efforts\nProvide tenant cyber security teams with requested artifacts to support external comm related cyber tasking to include but not limited to IATT, ATC, and ATO efforts\nFacilitate onsite circuit installs and troubleshooting efforts for new and existing comm connections \nTrack, manage, and provide facility bandwidth metrics to all tenants for design consideration \nPrimary management and technical responsibilities for entire facility ISP solution \nConduct and analyze data captures to obtain network performance information\nConfigure, implement, and test/troubleshoot crypto devices\nDevelop and maintain facility network and equipment operating procedures\nProvide solution guidance for tech refreshes and environment baseline builds\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise network systems within DoD, Intelligence Community, or other national security environments\nAt least 5 years of experience integrating solutions into operational classified environments.\nExperience leading cross functional teams to achieve strategic objectives\nKnowledge of dynamic routing protocols such BGP or OSPF\nKnowledge of communication methods, principles, protocols and concepts (e.g., crypto, mesh network, sftp) that support the network infrastructure\nKnowledge of capabilities and applications of network equipment \nKnowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies\nAbility to review rack layout diagram and identify network equipment\nKnowledge of information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption)\nKnowledge of local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth management\nKnowledge of how traffic flows across the network (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol [TCP] and Internet Protocol [IP], Open System Interconnection Model [OSI], Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL]\nKnowledge of common network tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup)\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with network integrations to on-premises and cloud environments utilizing PWAN, MeshONE-T, and Commercial Communications providers\nEssential Requirements:\nUS Citizenship\nActive Top Secret/SCI Clearance with CI Poly or the ability and willingness to obtain/maintain one \nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field\nCertifications:\nRequired Certifications:Security +\n\nDesired Certifications:One or more of the following Juniper certifications:\nJNCIA-Junos\nJNCIP\nJNCIA-DC\nJNCIA-Design\n\nOne or more of the following Cisco certifications:CCNA\n\nEssential Requirements:\nUS Citizenship is required.\nIn compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is listed .
