You will operate at the intersection of operations and engineering, combining day-to-day operations, incident response, and continuous improvement through automation.\nYou will work closely with engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable network services.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nOperations & Reliability\nOperate and maintain highly available network infrastructure across switching, routing, and firewalls\n\nProactively monitor network systems and services using observability tools\n\nTroubleshoot complex incidents and contribute to incident management and postmortem processes\n\nAutomation & Engineering\nMaintain automation solutions for deploying, troubleshooting, and managing network infrastructure\n\nDrive operational efficiency through Infrastructure as Code\n\nContribute to SRE best practices, including runbooks, workflows, and standardization\n\nHelp build reliable, repeatable deployment pipelines for network services\n\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify and implement improvements in performance, resiliency, and security\n\nCollaboration & Support\nPartner with LiveOps teams to resolve complex network-related issues impacting client services\n\nParticipate in operational support and the on-call rotation\n\nMaintain clear, up-to-date documentation of the network and procedures\n\nTech Stack\nNetworking\nExpertise with datacenter networking hardware, including Juniper, Cisco/Nexus, Cumulus, and similar platforms\n\nExpertise with network configuration & protocols: BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, UDP, and LACP\n\nSRE / Automation\nExperience with configuration management tools such as AWX and related platforms\n\nExperience with scripting, automation, and version control systems, including Ansible, Python, Go, YAML, and Git\n\nExperience working with Linux operating systems\n\nObservability & Operations\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, and Kentik\n\nGood understanding of SRE principles, including monitoring, alerting, incident management, and postmortems\n\nAbout you\nCandidate profile\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in networking, IT, or a related field\n\nExperience: 5+ years of experience in network operations within medium to large-scale environments; 500+ servers preferred. Experience in critical environments requiring high availability\n\nNetwork Skills: Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EVPN-VXLAN, and MPLS; hands-on experience with Juniper hardware\n\nAutomation: Experience using Ansible and scripts for network changes and small-scale automation tasks\n\nTooling: NetBox and comfortable with improving and maintaining scripts. Traffic monitoring workflows with tools like Kentik and Grafana\n\nTroubleshooting: Methodical in solving hardware and routing issues, from cable to configuration\n\nLinux Knowledge:\nConfident working in Linux environments for troubleshooting and scripting\n\nBroader Tech Insight: Familiar with storage, virtualization, and cloud fundamentals\n\nCommunication:\nWith respect to verbal and written communication, the candidate must have a strong command of English or be functionally proficient and able to communicate effectively in English. Comfortable with expert-to-customer communication.\n\nCertifications:\nJNCIP / CCNP, or similar certifications, are a plus\n\nRemote vs Onsite: This is a hybrid role, so you'll spend some time working onsite at our Montréal office.
