This position is responsible for supporting all areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, staffing, onboarding, training, benefits administration, policy administration, attendance management, performance management, compliance, employee engagement, and health and safety initiatives.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nEmployee Relations\nProvide guidance regarding company policies, procedures, and employment-related concerns.\nConduct employee counseling sessions and assist managers with corrective action processes.\nInvestigate employee complaints, concerns, conflicts, and workplace issues while maintaining objectivity and confidentiality.\nSupport retention initiatives and employee engagement programs.\nAssist employees in understanding benefits, leave programs, attendance policies, and company resources.\nRecruitment and Staffing\nCoordinate full cycle recruiting activities for hourly and entry-level positions.\nPost job openings and screen applicants.\nConduct interviews and facilitate candidate selection processes.\nCoordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug screens, and employment verification.\nManage new hire onboarding and orientation processes.\nParticipate in hiring events, job fairs, and recruiting initiatives.\nPerformance Management\nGuide supervisors through performance improvement processes.\nEnsure consistent application of attendance, conduct, and performance standards.\nMonitor and track disciplinary actions.\nSupport employee recognition programs.\nAssist with workforce productivity and engagement initiatives.\nAttendance and Leave Administration\nAdminister attendance management processes.\nManage leave administration including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation coordination, military leave, bereavement leave, and other statutory leaves.\nMaintain accurate attendance and leave records.\nCoordinate return-to-work and transitional duty programs.\nCompliance and HR Administration\nEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.\nMaintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.\nProcess employment status changes and HR documentation.\nSupport audits related to employment practices, payroll, benefits, safety, and labor relations.\nMaintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and business information.\nSafety Leadership\nDemonstrate commitment to safe work practices and regulatory compliance.\nPartner with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Operations, Maintenance, and leadership teams to improve workplace safety performance.\nParticipate in safety committees, meetings, audits, and improvement initiatives.\nPromote employee involvement in safety programs and continuous improvement activities.\nExperience\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or related field preferred, but not required\nMinimum 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience. \nTier 1 automotive supplier experience strongly preferred. \nExperience supporting multi-shift operations highly preferred. \nExperience in a unionized environment preferred, but not required\nExposure to EHS programs and safety compliance \nExperience supporting or delivering employee training programs\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nWorking knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and employee relations\nInvestigative, problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.\nAbility to maintain strict confidentiality.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high attention to detail\nProactive, self-directed, and results-oriented\nProficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and workforce management systems.\nFlexible schedule supporting a 24-hour, 5-day operation, including occasional off-shift, weekend, holiday, and emergency response coverage as
